I Started Over.

“I started over”.

These words were said by my 4 year old son yesterday as he was getting dressed.  He had successfully donned his socks, jeans, and was attempting to put his undershirt on.  In the process he had accidentally turned his shirt inside out.  He stood there and meticulously worked to get  it corrected.  He didn’t get frustrated.  He didn’t whine.  He didn’t make a big deal about it.  He just worked to fix the problem. And when he was unable to, he asked for help.

“I started over.”

What if when we, as adults, are presented with a problem or an obstacle started over?  It seems simple enough.  Now I understand that sometimes completely starting over isn’t an option, but we can stop what we’re doing and  take a look at our situation and re-evaluate.  Maybe we can start over by looking at our obstacle from another angle. …
